Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill
(half-day tour)
Walk in the footsteps of Senators and Emperors, Citizens and Slaves on our Imperial Rome tour.
We will explore the ruins of the Roman Forum, the political, social and religious heart of the ancient city. Here we will see the Senate House, the ruins of many Temples (including one to "Divine" Julius Caesar) and the original paving stones of the Via Sacra, route of Triumphal Processions.
Then we climb up to the Palatine Hill, where Rome was founded in the 8th century BC. We will visit the ruins of the Imperial Palace with views over the Circus Maximus, where the chariot races were staged.
Finally we enter the magnificent Colosseum (officially called the Flavian Amphitheatre) to see where Gladiators fought to entertain the Romans.
Entry fee - €12 per person = combined ticket to Forum/Palatine/Colosseum
